The Casanova Night Musical is the almost-true story of the great lover Casanova presented in a risqué, 2-act show. The Night Musical is a new style for the musical world and is aimed at an adult audience of mature theatergoers 16 years or older. The story takes place in the 1750s and is set in both Venice and Paris; the subject matter is love in all its joyful and painful manifestations. In the Casanova Night Musical, the past and the present come together in set design, costume, dance and music and this classic theater performance is a collection of 16 songs with an exciting, pulsating visual presence on stage. In fact, the NIGHT MUSICAL shows nightlife in all its colorfulness. The music in the Casanova Night Musical covers a wide range of musical styles including chill out, lounge, jazz, rock, pop, world music and naturally true musical tunes as well. The action in the performance includes sword fighting, ballet, a fashion show, illusions, a carnival as well as laughter and crying.

Synopsis

Casanova is constantly encountering new romantic adventures in his search for the one and only one who will gaze back at him like no one else ever has. His romantic adventures include meetings with Lizzy with whom he sings the duet “Torture Me” as well as with Mary the nun who confesses that she has a “lilDevil” inside her. While Casanova travels throughout the courts of Europe on his adventures, he is constantly pursued by Bruno, Captain of the Guard, who will stop at nothing to see Casanova’s head on the chopping block. Our hero, Casanova, lives his passionate life by the edge of a sword while his friends, Sergio, the simpleton deaf mute, Francesco, the unintelligible buffoon and The Kid, who wants to be just like Casanova, are unwittingly caught up in his love escapades.
